Glass manufacturing plant Petersburg Glass traces its history back to the end of the 19th century. Over the past hundred years, the company has managed to grow from a small private manufactory to one of the largest plants in the North-Western region of the Russian Federation, producing up to 100 tons of glass products per day. The main activity of the plant is the production of bottles for sparkling and still wines made of olive-colored glass.

Glass manufacturing plant Petersburg Glass is one of the oldest enterprises of the Leningrad region, dating back to the beginning of the 19th century, which has developed from a small factory to a modern, dynamically developing enterprise. Over the past hundred years, the company has managed to grow from a small private manufactory to the largest plant in the North-Western region of the Russian Federation, producing up to 100 tons of glass products per day.

History

Petersburg Glass, LLC is the oldest glass enterprise in the Leningrad region.

Today
Petersburg Glass, LLC is a leading enterprise in Russia for the production of glass containers for sparkling and still wines.
2014
The reconstruction and modernization of the plant's production facilities have been fully completed. Production capacity doubled to 100 tons of glass per day.
2006-2007
The company underwent reconstruction, during which a unique glass-melting furnace was launched, the design of which consists of imported refractories with a capacity of up to 50 tons of glass products per day.
2002
The company changed its owner, and received the modern name Petersburg Glass. The plant has carried out a large-scale modernization of production lines, purchased the latest equipment from leading domestic and global brands.
The 80s of the 20th century
The company produces glass flasks with a volume of 100-200 milliliters. During this period, the production volume of the plant reaches 43 million units of finished products per year.
1945
New plant launch. At that time, the company produced glass containers for technical liquids, lantern and lamp glass.
1894
The official beginning of the plant’s history, when retired General Timofeev Pavel Pavlovich built a pottery factory at the confluence of the Luga and the Oredezh rivers.

 

Finished products

The main activity of the company is the production of glass containers for the food industry. The plant’s product range includes products made of transparent, green, olive, black and brown glass with a capacity of 0.2-1 liter. The company also develops and produces glass containers of complex configuration and non-standard design according to customer drawings, the minimum batch volume is 300 thousand units. Thanks to the well-established supply of raw materials and mold kits, the average time to create a new glass packaging is 45 days from the moment the parties agree on the draft and technical documentation for the order.

 


Equipment

Automated production facilities of Petersburg Glass, LLC allow producing up to 100 tons of high-quality glass per day. The unique glass-melting furnace, which functions in conjunction with the glass-forming machine of the Italian company Bottero, is designed for the production of containers with a diameter of up to 111 millimeters and a height of up to 342 millimeters.
